I've ten Sun 386i machines connected to another Sun 386i that serves as a file and mail server. This machine, daedalus, is in turn connected to another machine at Harvard, talcott, that knows how to talk to the rest of the world. I'd like to be able to use an address such as user@host.domain from any machine and have the mail routed through daedalus via the Ethernet and from there to talcott via the UUCP link. In addition, mail inbound for kovar@icarus should be readdressed as kovar@daedalus. In other words, kovar@<valid machine name>.gsd.harvard.edu should be delivered to kovar@daedalus.gsd.harvard.edu without having talcott do the rewrite. Unfortunately, while I have the inclination, I do not have the time to figure out how to write the correct sendmail.cf. Someone must have a similar network configuration and, if so, I'd appreciate seeing how they configured sendmail to handle it. Oh, we're running SunOS 4.0 and Sun technical support hasn't been at all helpful so far. -David Kovar kovar@husc4.harvard.edu (Until I can get this to work, that is.)
