OK. I'm sure you're all getting tired of seeing this request, but, since I am new to this group and haven't seen the answer, I'm going to ask the question. PLEASE REPLY BY MAIL!!! We've recently become connected to the Internet, and I'd like to switch our mail over so that we deliver non-Internet mail via UUCP (just like it is now), and Internet mail via SMTP (instead of forwarding all of our Internet- destined mail to the site that forwards on the Internet for us). I've tried messing around with the cf file (yes, I've read all of the documentation in the System Manager's Manual), and I either get all UUCP or all SMTP delivery. I can't get it to achieve the mix. So, is there someone out there (there must be) who has sendmail.cf set up to deliver UUCP mail via UUCP and Internet mail via\ SMTP, and if so, could someone please send me one (I'm fairly certain that I can figure out the relevant modifications to one, once I get it, but if you have any pointers to things that may cause grief, please send those also).
