I have just installed sendmail-1.6 (nice bit of work!), but have noticed
that the uucp mailer is not given the "m" flag (allow mail to multiple
users on a single site to be batched). What is the rational behind this?
I have been quite happily using this option (on a Sun under 3.2 via
dial-up using Sun uucp).
I am also intrigued by the use of the "O" flag - present in 1.4a, not
in 1.6. Its not documented in my SunOS manual :-).

I believe that the -O flag is for UKUUCP. It specifies the only grade that and uucico spawned will run at. So : uux -gA -OA.... Will spool the transfer at grade A and then, normally, spawn a uucico which will only attempt to transfer grade A work. So if you have a lot of news waiting in the queue, at grade n, it wont prevent the mail from getting across.
