Does anyone know if UUMAIL can be configured such that it will not rewrite an address that is in ! format ? I am trying to avoid the situation where a user uses a route (address) to a site which is not registered with the UUCP ZONE MAPPING PROJECT but has the same name as a site which IS in the pathalias data base and UUMAIL rewrites the address so that it goes to the wrong site. Examples: 1. mail to: user@milton.uucp gets rewritten by UUMAIL as: uunet!psivax!csun!csusac!milton!username (thats O.K.to rewrite this ) 2. mail to: rochester!rutgers!ucsd!nosc!joshua!username (THIS joshua is ^^^^^^ NOT in the pathalias database) gets rewritten by UUMAIL as: crdos1!rpp386!vector!joshua!username (NOT O.K. - wrong site !) ^^^^^^ -- *x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x Joe Kane * ARPA: kane@ge-crd.arpa (518)387-6748 * UUCP: {uunet, philabs, rochester}!steinmetz!kane * GE DECnet: kbsvax::kane
