Hello ! I have the following problem with sendmail running on sequent balance 3.0.14. When user X on machine Y sends email to sequent machine , and on this sequent machine he has alias or .forward back to the same place where the email was send from( X@Y), the mail disappears on the way. In the sendmail log file i only got the "from" line and no "too" line. Looks like the sendmail finds that the email goes back to the same place it was send from and ate it. Is it feature , or maybe some sendmail flag ? Thanks for any help. Tom. -- Gorodecki Tom. National Semiconductor (IC) 6 Maskit st. In the sendmail log file i only got the "from" line and no "too" line. Looks like the sendmail finds that the email goes back to the same place it was send from and ate it. Looks like the same problem I once had. In my case it was cured when I added 'm' option in my sedmail configuration (Add line 'Om' on sendmail.cf or start sendmail with flag -om). If that opion is missing, sendmail tries to catch situations when you have send mail to some alias list (like your .forward in other host) and you get copy back. It then drops that copy because you have already seen it....... Can be quite confusing, so I always have that option in my sendmail configurations.
