> Now you all better be careful 'cause its almost time for me to start > rolling out the Odd Couple trivia. > > Daniel Schneider I loved the Odd Couple! Let's do some easy one's to get things rolling: 1> Give both men's full character and real life names. 2> Give both men's occupations (very specific for Oscar). 3> Oscar's secretary: Full character name and full real name. 4> Both men's wive's names. 5> How many children did each men have and their names. 6> How many different apartment sets were used over the course of the series? Extra Credit: Full names of the actors who played the odd couple in the movie. -- I remember doing the Time Warp. -Michael S. Weiss BITNET: weiss@psuvaxg.bitnet

> I loved the Odd Couple! Let's do some easy one's to get things rolling: > 1> Give both men's full character and real life names. Oscar Madison & Felix Ungar, played (on TV) by Jack Klugman & Tony Randall, respectively. > 2> Give both men's occupations (very specific for Oscar). Oscar was a sports writer (more specific?); Felix was a photographer. > 3> Oscar's secretary: Full character name and full real name. I think her first name was Myrna; I know she was played by Penny ("Laverne") Marshall. And didn't she tap dance? > 4> Both men's wive's names. Oscar's wife was Blanche (played by Klugman's then wife Brett Sommers, in occasional appearances); Felix's ex- (later ex-ex-) wife was Gloria (played by Elaine Joyce? I don't remember, but it was a blonde.). > 5> How many children did each men have and their names. You've got me here! But Felix had at least two, a son and a daughter (tell me if I've got this right: in the remarriage episode, when Oscar asks Gloria why she isn't in white, she explains to him that, after all, she has children--to which he responds that he understands; kids can be so messy!). I don't remember any Madison kids, but that doesn't mean there weren't any--I haven't seen the show since it ended its network run. > 6> How many different apartment sets were used over the course of > the series? Don't remember. The one I recall most vividly had the door "stage right" as you faced the sofa, with a big window on the wall behind the sofa-- or am I making this up? And was there another set, with the door behind sofa? > Extra Credit Full names of the actors who played the odd couple in the movie Oscar=Walter Matthau; Felix=Jack Lemmon. A couple more easy ones: -Who were the girls who lived upstairs? -What was the name of the policeman friend? And what actor played him? Karen Wilson <kwilson@amsaa.ARPA>
