ittai@vx2.GBA.NYU.EDU (Ittai Hershman) (03/10/89)
With sendmail 5.61 I decided it was time to move from our old hacked-up
sendmail.cf file to the distributed tcpproto.cf -- I really liked the
abstractions of the BITNET/CSNET/USENET mail gateway macros.
Unfortunately, there appears to be a problem with the BITNET macro.
I bring this to the attention of the group, because it defeats the
purpose of standardizing, if everyone patches it in his/her own way.
Can whomever is responsible for the distribution, please fix the problem
in the distribution and post the diffs.
Thanx,
-Ittai
PS: For those interested, the sendmail.cf has: DBvx1.gba.nyu.edu
and sending mail to ittai@nyuacf.bitnet fails as follows (I broke
up the 553 transaction into two lines for ease of reading):
