I have some SUN's that can't receive mail from other machines outside of my own lan (ethernet). The machines are configured to communicate using uucp with no problem. Sendmail will deliver mail via uucp with a little nudging but when another Unix machine tries to send mail to my machine (outside of my lan) the required data files get sent, but UUX fails to complete the job. I am really a novice to the nth degree when it comes to mail via uucp on SUN's. Please, before I lose the rest of my mind, can someone help me to understand what's going on so that I can possibly toubleshoot the problem. As I mentioned before, when I try to mail outside of my lan, sendmail queues the job, but it seems to sit in the queue forever. If it start uucico manually, the mail does get sent. Thanks in advance for any help!
