bengsig@oracle.nl (Bjorn Engsig) (05/16/89)
In our mail gateway (oracle.nl), we have aliases for (hopefully) all our emplyees, e.g.: bengsig: bengsig@nlhp3 somebody: somebody@somemachine What I would like to do, is to do a reverse alias of bengsig@nlhp3 to bengsig in my outgoing mail sent from the nlhp3 machine. That machine puts 'From: bengsig@nlhp3', which currently becomes 'From: bengsig@nlhp3.oracle.nl' but I want 'From: bengsig@oracle.nl' since the mail originates on the machine mentioned for my alias in the alias file. Please do not start a flame (or other kind of) war, that I should not do this, just tell me if and how this can be done. Thank you. -- Bjorn Engsig, ORACLE Europe \ / "Hofstadter's Law: It always takes Path: mcvax!orcenl!bengsig X longer than you expect, even if you Domain: bengsig@oracle.nl / \ take into account Hofstadter's Law"
