I didn't see it either (I'm new to this newsgroup) but I believe his
occupation is the same as Fred's: he works in a quarry.

Now, what is the name of the quarry and his boss's name?

If you are talking about Fred's boss, he was Mr. Slate (I don't remember the
name of the quarry).

If you are talking about Barney's ---- I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!

Barney's boss was Mr. Pebble, wasn't he? Don't remember the name of the
quarry, though.

Barney had some sort of office job. We saw his boss once. When
the boss had two tickets to the championship fights but his wife wouldn't
let him go. He gave the tickets to Barney. Barney invites Fred. Wilma
and Betty won't let the boys go. you get the idea.....

I don't think Barney's job was mentioned a lot of the time.
In several episodes, he was 'looking for work' and found it in the
'Bedrock Gravel Quarry' (... or whatever - where Fred works). On
at least one occasion, he was installed as Fred's supervisor.
I would suspect that, unless it was necessary to uphold
a story line, Barney's occupation was not mentioned.

In the episode mentioned above, what is Barney's exact title
and how did he come to be Fred's supervisor?

Barney's occupation:

This was a subject of debate in many a night at the bar with my friends.
We decided on two possible answers. One was that he was unemployed.
(He was ALWAYS around when Fred needed him) The other answer is supported
in a show. Someone asked him his job and he said:

I work for Mr Peebles at the quarry turning big pebbles into smaller ones.

And that is a quote.
