I am curious if anyone is aware of, or knows why, sendmail just stops and hangs when it is receiving mail via an incoming SMTP connection that is to be routed to some other outgoing host (such as via source routing) when the domain server for that host cannot be reached? I would think it would be appropriate to just queue the mail after some period of timeout. There appear to be no timeout mechanism. Can someone explain this? --Phil Howard, KA9WGN-- <phil@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu>
