Kent, since mail mail to you gets bounced, I write a followup: >1) When a path can't be determined & the mail is sent to our forwarder, >the `To' line is re-written as follows: >joe@foo.bar ==> tfd!joe%foo.bar >The extra hostname at the beginning (`tfd') causes the mail to >be returned later on. For what it's worth, the RMAIL address >doesn't have the extra hostname included. If `tfd' at the beginning of this rewritten path is your own's hostname then remove the "V" from the mailer flags in the definition of the UUCP- mailer (if set it makes *all* pathnames !-relative to your host). >2) Wierd return addresses are generated. Example: >From @sundc.UUCP,@Sun.COM,@adobe:ps-file-server@adobe.com Tue Nov 7 02:58:27 1989 >Instead of `sundc!sun!adobe!ps-file-server' >or `ps-file-server@adobe.com' It think it's no weird - it's legal RFC 822-syntax: But check the "R" and "S"- option in the UUCP-mailer definition. You may specify a rewriting ruleset for the recipient's address (or the sender's address, resp.) which is used directly before delivering the mail. If you have any more questions regarding that stuff, simply e-mail...
