I certainly remember SYZ, although I never ate them - thought they were pretty gross. But the box they came in was more than psychedelic - it was made to glow in black light. Remember those days? Also, I believe that the text on the back was the story of the development of the snack - it sounded like some "heads" were sitting around one day, and had something that used to be called a "profound revelation"! (Remember what that was all about?) Anyway, like everything else these days, SYZ's are now bland and ordinary. Too bad! Sandy (She's so Unusual!) decvax!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-hamstr!tortorino

The mention of Screaming Yellow Zonkers reminds me of my first husband. No, really! He worked for a short time (he worked everywhere for a short time :-)) at a factory making the stuff. This was in the late 60's. It was about 120 degrees in the place. Once a worker fell into one of the vats and died--was deep fried to death. He said there was cruddy junk put in those things that you wouldn't believe. Big sacks of chemicals that smelled long dead. I have never eaten them since. -- Sue Brezden Real World: Room 1B17 Net World: ihnp4!drutx!slb AT&T Information Systems 11900 North Pecos Westminster, Co. 80234 (303)538-3829 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Honk if you love Shiva! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
