[comp.mail.sendmail] Sun 4.0.3 won't :include

[Sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm new at this.]

My SunOS 4.0.3 Sendmail doesn't seem to handle /etc/aliases lines like

	aliasname: :include:pathname

correctly.  I get a message saying that ":include:pathname" is an
unknown user.  Since I've just started a mailing-list, I very much want
this feature -- indeed, I planned on using it when I created the
mailing-list.

Any information/advice would be appreciated.  Please respond via e-mail
unless you feel there is sufficient general interest.
