Does anyone know if there exists a list of the error messages and numbers
that can be produced with sendmail? In particular there is a need to cause
mail to bounce with an appropriate error message if there is no space
available. The standard system error number 28 is for the message "no space
left on device". What I want is a similar or equivalent error number to pass
back to sendmail for bouncing the mail. At the moment, the mail bounces but
with an "unknown mailer error - 28" message which is not exactly friendly!
Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated. If possible, please mail
to me direct, although I will keep checking this newsgroup.
