Speaking of toys based on television shows, movies, etc:

Two shows I was into when I was a kid were "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea"
and "Lost in Space." I remember the Sears catalog had a VTTBOTS submarine.
This was a battery powered sub and was part of a whole line of VTTBOTS toys.
They also had a whole set of LIS space toys, including a battery-powered
robot (it could have even had a tape in it that said "Danger, Danger"; my
memory is a little fuzzy on that one).

I put the submarine on my Christmas list for five years in a row. I never
did get one. I was pretty disappointed until I grew out of that phase.
I did get a VTTBOTS lunchbox, though. It's still on a shelf at my parents
house. I'll have to pick it up one of these days.

So, was anyone lucky enough to get the VTTBOTS set?
