Help a sendmail neophyte!
We have several NCR Towers running Wollongong (WIN) TCP/IP straight
out of the box. Sendmail overrides existing From_ headers and adds
its own From_root:
From root Mon Jun 11 15:27 PDT 1990
>From bhoule@se-sd.SanDiego.NCR.COM Mon Jun 11 15:26:48 1990
Return-Path: <bhoule@se-sd.SanDiego.NCR.COM>
Received: from se-sd by arcturus (5.59/25-eef)
id AA14805; Mon, 11 Jun 90 15:26:48 PDT

X-Mailer: Mail User's Shell (7.1.1 5/02/90)
To: bhoule@arcturus
Subject: from se-sd to arcturus
Sendmail is SUID root and is running as "/usr/lib/sendmail -bd -q30m".
The .cf files are untouched except for adding the host and domain name.
There is probably a real simple solution, but I plead ignorance. I
have read TFM, but the man page of the .cf file is only 1 page long
and basically says "don't touch!"
On a related note, I've been reading Rob Kolstad's sendmail.cf
tutorial in Unix Review and am interested in finding Eric Allman's
"Sendmail: Installation and Operation Guide". It did not come with
the Wollongong package. [I don't have ftp access, so if it is
ftp'able, could someone get it for me?]
Thanks for any help whatsoever.....
