*** PRAISE THE LINE EATER!!! OH HOLY ONE, EATER OF DATA... ***

I seem to remember that when I was a young kid (1970's), I
used to love to eat these little cylindrical food sticks that weren't
spicy like jerky, nor were they real sweet. I think the name was
something like 'Moon sticks' or something. Does anyone out there in
net.land remember what these wonderful things were called, and if they
are still available somewhere? Danke.

Yes, these gastronomic treats were a product of the "space age"
advertising trend started during the Apollo era. They were known
as Space Food Sticks, and tasted about like what you might expect
Moon dust to taste. I haven't seen them in years. As I remember, they
had a chocolate flavor, a caramel one, and a peanut butter.

Pretty cosmic stuff.
