Wasn't his dog's name Yukon King? I used to watch it all the time, along with Fury (boy and black horse--remember Peter Graves in that?), Flicka (boy and nonblack horse at the Goose Bar Ranch), Sky King, Circus Boy, Jungle Jim (was that the title--starred Johnny Weismuller), Lone Ranger, Rin Tin Tin, The Mickey Mouse Show, Mr. Wizard, Soupy Sales. . . His dog's name was just 'king'. I never watched the show, but when I introduce
myself to people, some get cute and ask if I'm related to Sgt Preston. As a
matter of fact, my father's father was adopted, so we don't know what 1/4 of
our ancestory is. When we were small kids my dad use to tell us that we were
1/4 eskimo. That was all fine and dandy until I had to write a paper in the
4th grade about my ancestory. Of course I believed my dad and I wrote about
being eskimo. The teacher took me aside and gave me a little talking too. I
don't think I'll ever forget it.
