Just a quick note to thank the numerous persons who responded to my plea for help with sendmail.cf. As a result of my posting, I was informed that there was a fix available from ISC that might help with things by offering some different perspectives on the .cf and by providing some specifically tailored .cf files. After getting the fix disk and installing it, I seem to have done something that really screwed things up because the replacement smail binary freaks on my machine. There also appeared to be a problem with the uucp-only .cf file. Anyway, a representative from ISC is working on it and I hope to know something soon. If I still need help with re-writing the .cf when the dust settles, I'll contact one of those who offered to help. If anyone else has encountered any problems with the ISC X7 fix, email me and we can compare notes. I would also be happy to post a summary of the problem(s) and solution(s) here if I get any indication that it would be appropriate. -- | SSG W.D.
