Hi!
In our department we're trying to get the following configuration to behave
nicely with sendmail:
localhost1 -- SMTP -----
\
localhost2 -- SMTP -- uucp-gateway -- Usenet
. /
. /
. /
/
localhostn -- SMTP -- /
The uucp-gateway is officially registered, the localhosts aren't.
Our problem is that our sending address always looks like
user@localhost(n).uucp
when mail is sent via the gateway.
How can we get the gateway sendmail to produce
user%localhost(n)@uucp-gateway.uucp
???
It was our impression that this was done by Ruleset 1 (mailer-specific sender
rewriting). But somehow this doesn't work.
If we add a Rule 1 to the one of the localhosts, and have *it* add the
gateway, it works, but we would prefer having this done by the final
gateway before heading out to the net.
Thanks
M.Hoffmann & T.Oeser
