While I know I should be using 5.65 I am on an NCR tower with SysV and the installation procedure for 5.65 is very daunting. In any case, I need to do something that I think should be simple, and that is to let another host do mail name resolution. That is, if my sendmail cannot resolve the name, I simply want to pass it along to another host (I am on yfn.ysu.edu and wish to pass mail on to the ysub.ysu.edu mailer which is smarter than mine...). I am not running named, but instead let two other machines on our network do name resolution. I am sure that the answer is some statement down in the code where it attempts to have named resolve the name, but my lack of skill makes it impossible for me to figure out what to do. Any help (I'm groveling here) would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. Lou Anschuetz (marginal) system administrator on a unix system mail to temngt23@ysub.ysu.edu
