phil@inetg1.Arco.Com (Phil Meyer) (01/03/91)
We have recently set up several name servers and have divided the company
up into subdomains. The problem is that sendmail is set up to parse only
three elements of a domain name. We now have four elements in our internal
domain names. Here is an example of what happens.
Our Domain is Arco.COM
An internal domain could be A
Mail phil@A.Arco.COM
This will work as long as the nameserver A knows how to forward mail to me.
But this one:
Mail phil@machine.A.Arco.COM
produces:
No machine Machine.A in domain A.Arco.COM.
In vanilla SUNOS 4.1 sendmail.cf, it looks like rule 6 is my problem, but
I'm danged if I can figger it out.
Thanks!
