[comp.mail.sendmail] routing question

fordke@infonode.ingr.com (Keith Ford x8614) (01/07/91)

I run a bbs using Opus that is linked into Fidonet. Using UFGATE,
I can transceive Usenet email and news with my host, infonode.
Infonode runs sendmail and can handle fully qualified domain names.
Here is the bang path from my site, umagic, to uunet.

  umagic!infonode!ingr!uunet

Email on infonode or ingr, if it doesn't belong to one of those,
is routed to uunet for distribution. What should be done to allow
mail from infonode or ingr to go to umagic (assuming that is the
destination) without being routed through uunet? Is this handled
in the maps? Umagic's or Infonode's, or both? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Keith Ford
