----- I'm *really* starting to beat my head against the wall with sendmail. Maybe someone out there who really understands this stuff might give me a hand. I've got a company network (foo.com, say). There is a machine on the network called dweeb (dweeb.foo.com) that does UUCP to the outside world. All of the local machines know to forward to dweeb any mail they don't know what to do with. Dweeb knows how to get mail to everyone on the network. Now for what I haven't been able to get sendmail to do. I would like dweeb to take the mail and kick it upstairs to our smart-host (emory.edu), and I'd like all the Return stuff to be in the form `user@foo.com' . Currently, mail ends up in the form: `user%internal_machine_name.UUCP@mathcs.emory.edu' Which just ain't right. I'd even be happy with: `user%foo.com@mathcs.emory.edu' But don't seem to be able to get even that far. Now...if anyone has a sendmail.cf that does something close to this, I'd sure be greatful as hell if they could send me a copy. I don't wanna do anything fancy, I just want it to work...;'). Oh...and before anyone mentions it: Smail doesn't work on this machine. Many thanks... -- ken seefried iii "Specialization is for insects." ken@dali.cc.gatech.edu - Robert A. Heinlein (1916-1988)
