On a SUN IPC (SunOS Release 4.1) I don't get the sendmail information in the file /usr/spool/mqueue/syslog. Can anybody give me some advise how it is possible to do it? Are things maybe different between ULTRIX and SunOS? (on an ULTRIX system I get this information). Thanx in advance, Vassilis SAKAS E-mail: sakas@agd.fhg.de

SUNs oftentimes log into either /var/log or /var/adm. Check /etc/syslog.conf for a line something like mail.info /usr/spool/mqueue/syslog or mail.info /var/adm/syslog Also make sure that a loghost is defined in your DNS or /etc/hosts file (ping loghost). If you make any change to syslog.conf, send a HUP signal to syslogd. /pbp -- Paul Pomes UUCP: {att, iuvax, uunet}!uiucuxc!paul Internet, BITNET: paul@uxc.cso.uiuc.edu US Mail: UofIllinois, CSO, 1304 W Springfield Ave, Urbana, IL 61801-2910
