[comp.mail.sendmail] Sendmail error 550: ... ... Host unknown: Address already in use

I've received various complaints from users at some sites in the USA 
about mail problems when using our address <cs.bonn.edu>.
The mail bounced with the following error message:
550: ... ... Host unknown: Address already in use

I don't know what this particular error message means. 
I've no problems with our address at most sites over the world.

Any hints are welcome ...
