The host of this show was Stubby Kaye. As I recall the game was a giant
game board that the contestants traveled around on as if they were tokens.
At one point there was ``The Doghouse'' that you had to sit in, and I also
remember a haunted house type affair that you had to run in and grab one
of two boxes before the ghoul got you. One of the boxes had a swell gift
and the other a zonk. I think that the home game ``Operation'' also came
out of this show.

Anyone have any more detail on the show or Stubby Kaye?

Didn't Stubby Kaye play the part of Marryin' Sam in the movie
   "Lil' Abner" ?

At one point there was "Pie in the Eye" where the contestant attempted
to throw a whipped cream pie through an 'eye'.

There was also a theme song which I can't quite remember.

	"Shenanigans
Come on along and play Shenanigans
	 ..."

That's the extent of my recollection.

"Shenanigans" was indeed on Saturday mornings on ABC.
I too had the old board game. I remember one part with a
race, and I`m sure there was a skee-ball in the
board game.

Stubby Kaye was the M.C. as mentioned. He appeared in many
T.V. series and movies. I don`t know if he ever had his own
show. The role I remember him for is that of Nicely-nicely
Johnson in the film version of "Guys and Dolls"

Since were on the subject, anyone remember the NBC Sat game
show hosted by Paul Whinchell and Jerry Mahoney? I remember
the kids got questions and had 3 choices for answers, and
they had to run to the colored circle with the answer they
thought was correct. I`m stumped on the name, though.

I remember Stubby Kaye from two movies: _Guys and Dolls_ and
_Cat Ballou_. He sang in each, and in the latter was one of
the strolling 'narrator' minstrels with Nat King Cole. I get
the feeling he did a lot of Broadway musicals.

The game show was called (appropriately enough) RUNAROUND. (In St. Louis,
however, it aired on Sundays [I never quite forgave them for that].)
