Thanks to more people than I can name, I have the answer. The source of the quote "Why for you bury me in cold cold ground" is none other than the Tasmanian Devil. In the words of Stuart Gove of Boeing Computer Services: "I believe it was the Tasmanian Devil that uttered the above phrase. As the scene unfolds, Bugs has somehow convinced TD to start digging for food or some unknown thing. Anyhow, while TD is digging this hole, Bugs proceeds to cover him up and declare the case closed when Tas utters that famous line!" Thanks to all who replied.
