[comp.mail.sendmail] sendmail for unix?

I am new to sendmail so if this is a redundant question I apologize.  I would
like to know if sendmail is a shareware like program. (can i get it for free?)
If so where do i get a copy?  I need it for a 3B2-1000, AT&T SysV R3.2.2.
