I have jsut run into a very strange problem which is causing a lot of problems with our e-mail system. I am running Sendmail 5.65b+IDA 1.4.3 on some VAX systems. My gateway system, running Ultrix 4.1, works just fine. However, two other systems, one running Ultrix 4.1 and another 4.2, won't work right. When sendmail is started, it automatically starts up a copy to run through the queue. However, it keeps running, even though there was nothing ever in the queue. If a user sends mail, it starts up a sendmail, but it waits an awfully long time before it is delivered, or even placed in the queue... Anybody else seen this?
