I'm relaying all unresolved SMTP mail to a host on another subdomain. The mail is properly delivered but the address in the from field has the subdomain of the relay host instead of my subdomain. This makes a reply impossible. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Most likely you are not making sure that the address contains your own fully qualified domain before it leaves your site. You will need to do this somewhere in 'sendmail.cf'. If you send out mail with an unqualified domain, the relaying mailer may be making its best possible guess as to the correct fully qualified domain, and in this case its guess is wrong. -- =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Neil W.
