In the cartoon "The Big Snooze", which concerns Bugs Bunny invading Elmer Fudd's dream of tranquility, there's one scene where Bugs is trying to figure out ways to screw up Elmer by reading a book called "1001 Arabian Nightmares". He finds an entry and says: "No. No. NO! It's TOO gruesome!" Pause. "But I'll do it!" -Steve Shiue "I am a duck, bent on self-preservation." -Daffy Duck

Elmer: Well what do you know. There was one buwwet weft after all. Bugs: One buwwet weft? Hey Laughing Boy, there was .. Daffy: I know, I know! I don't remember exactly if it was this particular episode, but in one Duck Season/Wabbit Season hunting trip, Daffy has his beak blow in three different wrong positions (including one where his head is upside down). As usual, he replies to Bugs, "You're despickable." At any rate, in the course of ripping off signs denoting whether or not it is rabbit or duck season, the last sign says Elmer season. Upon seeing it, Elmer splits, and moments later Bugs and Daffy reappear dressed exactly like Elmer, saying Be vewy vewy quiet. We're hunting Elmers. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. In another episode, Elmer must have had some sort of tax audit or something, because he commits himself to a mental institution. He entices Bugs to come into the institution with a carrot, and proceeds to escape. The doctor, finding Bugs, attempts to hypnotize him into thinking he's a rabbit, remember? Doctor: Now repeat after me. I am Elmer J. Fudd, Millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht. Bugs: I am Elmer J. Fudd, Millionaire ... Doctor: Again Bugs: ... Doctor: Again When Bugs (hypnotized as Elmer) gets caught by the IRS, Elmer closes with "I may be a scwewy wabbit, but I'm not goin' to Alcatraz ..." -- It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under.
