Here's the improved version of Mac Trans GS.  Despite the name, it will
run on any Apple II with a 3.5" drive (UniDisk or Apple 3.5).

The improvements are:

The old program would only read from the 3.5" drives if they were the
first or second device on the SmartPort chain.  A new driver was written,
and this has been fixed.

A moderately more friendly error checking has been introduced that
allows you to retry if you hit a not-too-fatal error.

The slot/drive requests are just about the same...this is just a hack,
not a major rewrite. :-)

We now have a default file type of BIN (changeable, however) if you just
hit RETURN at that prompt.

And if anybody wants the old version, it's still available at APPLE2-L.
