Yeah, I admit it... I actually watched this one! (One of the Boston stations ran *four* Annette/Frankie beach-party movies in a row... my heroes the Kingsmen appear for about 15 seconds, so how could I miss it?) Buster Keaton, as "Rwana" the witch doctor, explained some spells he had/was about to cast... then looked straight at the camera and said, "And that's all the plot you're gonna get out of me!" AWR

There was more meta-humor in this one. At the end, Bwana says his magic powers have waned in his old age, and he can't send Annette's boyfriend back to her. But his daughter is a "witch's witch", and she can do it. It turns out that his daughter is played by Elizabeth Montgomery, in a cameo role (she doesn't even get into the closing credits, presumably because she had no lines -- she waved her hand once and wiggled her nose once). Remember, this movie was made in 1964, when "Bewitched" was a top-rated show. -- Barry Margolin ARPA: barmar@MIT-Multics UUCP: ..!genrad!mit-eddie!barmar
