This is a new program I just wrote that I call ProBlock. This is a disk recovery program. It runs under Prodos 8, so any machine that can handle prodos should be able to run it. It is written in Hyper C prodos, and gives an idea for the power of the language (If only the stupid bugs in printf and putstr could be fixed... ARRGH!). GS users should select GS.SYSTEM. That is the pre-boot patch for the GS which then loads C.SYSTEM. Other users should just select C.SYSTEM. The program is actually written in HyperC prodos, and is interpreted on the fly. That is why the opsys file has been included. All the disk level calls are made through the mli, so it should be compatible with any ProDOS compatible device, as well as DOS 3.3 and pascal disks. It allows copying selected blocks, writing uncompressed disk images to files, it can interpret Prodos disk organization information automatically, and can do pretty much everything that helps in repairing a disk gone bad. I don't expect any major problems with it, but it could really use some features that aren't in there yet. But I have to save something extra for the people that send in registration fees... If the response is good (if anyone actually buys it :^) I will complete a version with a block editor, single drive copy capability, and multiple read mode, as well as being faster.
