What with memcpy and memmove... is ther an officially sanctioned function
which performs the copy in a specified direction? Like, say, memmoveup
and memmovedown. This would be useful for initializing a dynamic chunk
of memory with a repeating value.
I don't have any need for it now. I'm just curious as to whether its
existence was ever discussed.
