Hi. I own a TRS80 Colour Computer (no flames, please). Anyone else have one? The thing that I want to know is this: There is a DLOAD command, poorly documented, which is supposed to allow downline loading of programs from a main- frame over the serial port. Nowhere, not even in the Tech manual, is the protocol for this documented. With a bit of fiddling, I managed to get the TRS80 to send the program name specified up the line (towards the mainframe), but nothing I could think of to send back was accepted by the TRS80. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone have better documen- tation? Has anyone ever seen it work? Just to eliminate some red herrings: I know about the screwy scheme with two different wirings for the serial port depending on whether it is a modem or a printer port. I have asked my local Ra- dio Shack (an infinity of times). I havent phoned Fort Worth (800 numbers dont cross National boundaries). I dont really plan to use a mainframe...just a 6809 development system I have sitting in the same room. The TRS80 is an ex- tended basic system, with 16k.
