I am looking for a conversion program from Adobe Font Metrics files (.afm), used by psdit and other programs, to the Tex Font Metrics format (.tfm) . I want to make some Hebrew Postscript fonts usable in TeX. I don't think these fonts have already been translated to .tfm format. I would appreciate any information on an archive site, or another source. BITNET sites are better, but ftp access is fine. Since ftp'ing across the Atlantic is a bit expensive, including directory and file names will help me a lot. If you are willing to mail me the program, please drop me a note. I'll request is from the nearest person if I cannot find it in any archive. Thanks in advance, Ze'ev. -- Ze'ev Shtadler. Once again the net proved it's value. I got many answers, including copies of aftopl.c by Clayton M. Elwell. All you need is to run PLTOTF after AFTOPL. Here are the first few lines: > /** > Program: aftopl -- convert Adobe AFM files into TeX PL files > Author: Clayton M. Elwell, Ohio State University > > Disclaimer: This program seems to work, but it was cobbled up in > an afternoon. Its operation should be readily apparent > to any C programmer. > **/ Thanks to everyone who helped, Ze'ev. -- Ze'ev Shtadler.
