[comp.fonts] on -- what magnifications should I make?

dag@per2.UUCP (Daniel A. Glasser) (06/13/89)

I am running TeX on an Atari ST, and have just obtained an HP LaserJet-II
emulating printer (a Blaser Star2). I also have MetaFont on the same
machine. Unfortunately, all of the font images I have are in the Atari's
display size range. I'm interested in creating a collection of font images
to be used with the 300dpi laser printer.

From the TeXbook, I know the base set of fonts that are required, but in
what magnifications?  I have generated mag := 1 fonts (300pk) and mag := 0.67,
(201pk) for all of the base fonts, but I don't know what set of mag values
I need for each font. I also want to use LaTeX, so the additional fonts
for that will be required.

Would some kind soul out there send me a list of all the fonts and mag
values for each one that I might need for a TeX and LaTeX installation?
I think I've got all the .mf files I'll need. The list can be very
simple, ie:
	cmr10	0.67 1.0 2.0 3.0
	cmr5	0.67 1.0 2.0 3.0
	...

Please mail this to me. I don't usually get to read comp.fonts, and I
often miss things on comp.text. If you have trouble mailing to me
using reply, explicitly route the mail through uwvax.wisc.edu
(aka spool.cs.wisc.edu), as in "uwvax!per2!dag". Oh the joys of having
an unregistered node. If all else fails, please mail to dag@persoft.com.
I will summarize to the net if I get any response.

Thanks in advance.
