I once hacked up a program called 'subfont,' which makes *specified*
substitutions in TROFF code.  The program is available to anybody who
wants it, under the usual restrictions.

For the sake of portability, when you write a troff document with
strange fonts, you ought to identify them with comments:

	.ft PO   \" print-out font - that is, constant-width
	command [option ...]
	.ft

I remember when Berkeley man pages started showing up with a
nonstandard font--"L" (Lucida?), I think.  Very annoying.
