Does anyone have any references on algorithms to reduce a bitmap significantly with minimal loss of resolution. Specifically, I would like to reduce font bitmaps from 2-4 times and not have them turn into formless blobs. As an example, take a 300dpi font and reduce it to 75dpi and retain readability.
