[comp.fonts] Devanagari font for Macintosh - plus Keymapping problem

frobozz@well.UUCP (Jordan Bortz) (10/12/89)

Hi... I was wondering if anyone had any pd fonts for devanagari that they
could send or post;.....

Further, Iwas wondering how people were solving this problem:

Assume that there are 4 T sounds in sanskrit, which we can map to
t, T, O-t, and O-T on the keyboard.

Now, we want to store the half-character also (for consonantal conjunctions),
where do we map those 4 new half-t's on the keyboard???????

Here are some sources of Postscript Devanagari Fonts for Macs.
They are not PD, but may be of interest:

No hands on experience - I'm a PC user, actually - but prices are
O($100) or cheaper and material looks good in fliers I've seen. I
suggest you call or send a post card asking for information.
