[comp.fonts] TROFF DEFAULTS IN LATEX

sane@brutus.cs.uiuc.edu (Aamod Sane) (12/20/89)

I would like to know if it is possible to get troff -ms default fonts in
Latex. I like the font, but latex is muh easier to use. What is the
font called ? I might try to use Metafont for that.

Perhaps this is more appropriate in comp.text, but I received no response
in spite of posting this twice on that group. So I thought maybe people
here could help.

Thanks

You might get more answers if you gave more information about your
system, like what printer you have.

The best answer I can give now is: it depends on how your software is
set up. For instance, on our PS printers, we have a printer driver
that understands the names of the Adobe fonts and a set of style files
to substitute those fonts for the LaTeX defaults. If I wanted the
"troff" fonts, I would say

\documentstyle[times,...]{...}
