The previous post with this title was not from me but was from a friend using my account. If you could send your replies to Jim.Muller@skef.slisp.cs.cmu.edu instead of me, we would both appreciate it. Thanks, -- Jamie

I am the proud new owner of a LaserJet IIP. I was wondering what kind of utilities are available for creating/manipulating soft fonts. I am considering writing a TeX to PCL font converter (has this been done already?). I am also interested in any PD (or similar) Softfonts that are available as well. Thanks for your time Lenny Post Member/Executive of the AMiga Users of Calgary (AMUC) post@cpsc.ucalgary.ca

There is a large selection of PD soft fonts in the mims-iris font archive, reachable by ftp at mims-iris.waterloo.edu, or by mailing to font-server@ mims-iris.waterloo.edu. Specifically, the directory /fonts/sfp/cm contains the Computer Modern fonts from TeX, as converted by Rich Wales. Take a look.
