[comp.fonts] Good fonts for TTY emulators

mtoy@there.sgi.com (Michael Toy) (03/06/90)

Last time I posted this query, I got no reply. Its been a while, so I
thought I'd ask again.

What the world needs is a good constant space font for us folks who
use terminal emulators. It should have a variety of weights and
sizes and have a set of hand tuned bitmaps that work well at resolutions
from 75dpi to 100dpi. It should look good.

Adobe Courier is NOT the answer.

I have seen the occasional font which looks good in a couple of sizes,
but never the whole range, and I use a range of sizes for different uses.

I don't care about outlines, I just want the bitmaps.

Anybody heard of such a thing?
