Since Adobe's $39 font offer with the ATM upgrade seemed too good to ignore, I decided to `upgrade' my ITC Garamond Light (pkg 9 I think) by acquiring one of the newer Garamond packages. Adobe also offers Stempel Garamond, Garamond 3, and Adobe Garamond. Not having good text samples to examine, I eventually opted for Adobe Garamond, since Adobe's summary made it sound like a well-designed typeface, and there is also the Expert Collection avail- able as an option for this face. (I'm looking into small-scale book publishing.) In any case, I would be interested to hear any strong opinions concerning these various Garamonds, even though I have already made my choice. I would be happy to post a summary, if people email me, to save net bandwidth.
