[comp.fonts] Non-Roman font sources?

scott@sage.uchicago.edu (Scott Deerwester) (05/25/90)

Does anybody have any favorite sources of non-Roman fonts? Please
mail to me and I'll be happy to summarize to the net. My shopping
list (including some things that I've already got) is:

Arabic Chinese Gujarati Korean	Punjabi
Armenian Cyrillic Gurmuki Lao Sinhala
Batak Devanagari Hebrew Malayalam	Tamil
Bengali Ethiopic Japanese Mongolian	Thai
Burmese Georgian Javanese Oriya Tibetan
Cambodian Greek Kannada Pollard

Pollard is the same as Cree or Inuktitut. I'm looking for at least
PostScript outline fonts plus AFM files. BDF fonts, if I've also got
PostScript, would be helpful, as would Macintosh bitmap fonts.

Sources that I know about are Ecological Linguistics, Pacific Rim
Connections, and Linguist's Software, plus, of course, Adobe. Can
somebody tell me how to get ahold of Linguist's Software? The last
address I have for them is in South Hamilton, MA, and they're not
there anymore. I suspect that they haven't simply gone down the
tubes, since I still see their fonts referenced.
