We recently acquired Tom Rokicki's program dvips 5.4, and would like to know how to use the virtual fonts found in ./dvips-fonts/PSvfs (the non-resident PostScript fonts). It seems one requires the appropriate pfb files, i.e., the Stone, Optima, and Garamond pfb families; are these available over the network, or must they be licensed? In either case, would someone tell us where they can be found? Steven Smith smith@sandalphon.harvard.edu In case I did something stupid when running dvips, here is the session for a test of the font "gar." Must I do something else to access the file AGaramond-Regular.pfb? trireme`~[1]% tex testfont This is TeX, C Version 3.1 (/usr/local/lib/tex/inputs/testfont.tex Name of the font to test = gar Now type a test command (\help for help):) *\sample\bye [1] [2] Output written on testfont.dvi (2 pages, 12300 bytes).
