[net.micro] WorkS Digest and how it works

Hi folks,
Will Martin's message about how the WorkS digest is
distributed is based upon old information. All ARPAnet sites get the
messages in digest form only. USEnet recipients get the messages
individually. When a message comes into the WorkS mailbox, it is
immediately sent onto the the USEnet community. Later on, I go
through the mailbox and digestify all of the messages. These are then
sent to the ARPAnet readers.

As long as the readership is small, there isn't any problem in
having a "direct redistribution list". Once the list becomes large
however, it should be digestified. I realize that this is an
inconvenience but DARPA has spent years looking the other way. It is
large lists like this one that cause them to have to take a 2nd look
and frown upon all the lists.
